This week, Tyler interviewed filmmaker Kori Feener about her documentary Hard Way Home, which chronicles her thru-hike on the Appalachian Trail, from Georgia to Maine. A 2000 mile hike is a feat of endurance most people would hesitate to attempt, and Kori managed to do it while filming a documentary, so it's astounding on a few levels.
Hard Way Home has been touring festivals all across the country, and Kori is currently looking for distribution for the movie, so you can check out its screening schedule on the web site for further information on where to see it. Otherwise, you can find the trailer on Vimeo.
You can also find Kori on Twitter @korifeener. If you're a hiker, her feed is a consistent source for information about the AT. Go support the movie in any way possible, and if you haven't been outside in a while, find the trail nearest you and take a walk in the woods. You might learn something about yourself.
